We at Moore are aware that employees, ie their knowledge, commitment to work and belonging to the team, are the most important segment of our overall business, which is why we attach great importance to the selection of staff. In our ranks, you will not find so-called “VIP beginners” who are employed for counter-services, because we are aware of the long-term dangerous impact of this personnel policy on the work morale and team spirit of the team.

The advantage of our company is that in addition to the headquarters in Belgrade, it is the only one with branches in important regional centers (Novi Sad, Nis, Zrenjanin), and their employees perform most of the work on “their” territory. This allows us to do the work efficiently and with minimal overnight stays of employees outside the place of residence. Frequent and long absences from home, as a rule in poor provincial hotels, have in practice proved to be one of the significant disincentives for employees in competing firms. In our country, people usually go to the fields and return on the same day, using a fleet of eight new official cars owned by the company.

The age and classification structure of the company’s employees is extremely favorable, which enables the formation of audit teams with an optimal structure. Almost half of the total number of employed auditors are employees in managerial positions (20 certified auditors), and the organization of work is such that they regularly take part in team work in the field.
When delegating work, it is avoided that young people always receive the same audit tasks and simply fill in the form without information about the essence of the work they do, which is otherwise a common case. In this way, a much faster transfer of knowledge to younger staff is achieved and it enables them to acquire much broader knowledge in the first years of their career compared to their colleagues in the largest audit firms.

The business culture in the company is such that friendly, almost family relations among employees are encouraged, and rivalry and careerism are hampered. The hierarchy is much less noticeable than in similar competing firms. The collective spirit is nurtured, and the employees who left the company for various reasons (which is immanent to our profession) remain attached to it. At traditional annual events such as: Team building, Alumny day, Client reception and Sports day, all employees take part (which in the largest companies is usually a privilege only for managerial staff).

Opportunity for the young

The employment policy in the company is to employ graduates of reference faculties, with the advantage in the audit department being given to candidates from the faculties of economics, financial and accounting departments. Selected candidates usually take a number of tests: psychological, general information, language skills, use of excel, … but not a knowledge test, because we believe that your professors have already done it (which is why a higher grade point average and a shorter study period are especially valued ). Only at the end of the internship, it is obligatory to take a knowledge test in the form of an internship exam, which, with positive evaluations of work and behavior by superiors, is a condition for establishing a permanent employment relationship and career advancement.

As a socially responsible company, Moore has been financing the “Traveling to Europe” project for many years, thanks to which a large number of students traveled around Europe for free and got to know other cultures.
For the needs of clients with cross-border business, as well as through cooperation with Moore companies from other countries, there is a need to travel abroad often. In addition to regular travel to countries in the region, our employees (including those in senior and junior titles) have resided in many other countries, on all continents. For those who like to travel, that can be good news, and for others, the information to travel to the fields in “exotic countries” only with the prior consent of the employee.

The employees have at their disposal a modernly equipped, bright and naturally air-conditioned business space in the central city areas, as well as the most modern computer and other equipment. At the same time, all employees, including the youngest, have their own workspace, which means that the concept of open space is not applied, nor the so-called “hot chairs” shared by more employees – usually the youngest ones. The beginning of working hours is slippery, and only working hours are flexible, of course, provided that the work is done on time. The dress code and other common rules of corporate behavior are in force, but are less strict and allow more individuality to employees, and Friday is reserved for Casual Day.

Wage policy is that they are low in the first years while employees learn more than they contribute, and in later years they grow progressively and follow the work contribution of employees. In addition to basic salary and overtime work, employees are paid the costs of coming to work and per diems on business trips, as well as additional benefits such as jubilee awards and severance pay, and certain categories of employees receive appropriate New Year’s and March 8 gifts. As a benefit, additional health care was organized for all employees in a private health center. Also, at the expense of the company, all employees are insured for high amounts of insurance against accidents and diseases.

Auditing is an extremely demanding job, and it is not always easy for our older colleagues to keep up with frequent changes in standards and methodologies, especially the application of new technologies. That is why it is common for those who do not recognize in time that they can no longer keep up with the imposed pace, the employer thanks them for their cooperation, and in the later years of their careers they are forced to look for a new beginning. This is not the case here at Moore! Even at the cost of lower overall profitability, all employees are found an adequate job, until the day when they are escorted by colleagues to a well-deserved retirement.

Numerous professional literature and electronic databases and collections of regulations are available to employees. Professional development of employees is carried out continuously at internal trainings, as well as by attending externally organized seminars and trainings, in the country and abroad. All employees with above-average work results are financed by taking the exam for acquiring the title of Certified Auditor, and the best with the title of ACCA.
In the company’s premises, as part of working hours, advanced English language training is regularly held, by a professor whose mother tongue is English. There is also the possibility of paid external training in another foreign language.
